Mi az a Wikidata
Wikidata is a Wikimedia project to create an open and collaborative database. It is for data what Wikimedia Commons is for media files: it centralizes access and management of structured data, such as interwiki references, external identifiers and statistical information. Wikidata contains data and labels in all languages for which there are Wikimedia projects.
To discuss integration of Wikispecies with Wikidata, and serve as a collaboration platform with Wikidata:Wikispecies.
As of October 2015, the first stage of integration with Wikidata has begun. It is now possible to store "sitelinks" in Wikidata, indicating which item there relates to page (for a taxon, author, journal or institution) on Wikispecies. This automates the process of linking to corresponding Wikipedia articles, in multiple languages, and so such links no longer need to be entered here manually.
The user script at d:User:Yair rand/WikidataInfo.js will insert, below a Wikispecies page's title, a link to the corresponding Wikidata item, or a link to create one if none exists. In the former case, it all also add the label and aliases, in your preferred language.
Simply add the code:
- Wikidata:Wikispecies - the inverse of this page, on Wikidata
- Wikidata:WikiProject Taxonomy – includes a table of taxonomy-related properties
- Wikidata:WikiProject Source MetaData – for citations and journals
- Wikidata:WikiProject Authority control – maintaining index terms for bibliographical material in library catalogues
