@Koavf: Infinitamente grazie! Sto in questo momento contribuendo a tutti i progetti multilinguistici mediawiki, facendo in modo che ci sia anche la lingua veneta. Sto rifacendo tutte le pagine principali (secondo i nuovi standard) e traducendo la montagna di roba che non è ancora stata tradotta! Una domanda: Ma nello stesso modo nel quale vengono tradotti i titoli, non è possibile tradurre anche le didascalie alle immagini qua presenti e le frasi presenti nelle pagine? Ho notato che sono più o meno sempre le solite, prenderebbe molto di più l'effetto "Wow" se fossero tradotte pure quelle! @Fierodelveneto: Muy bien, podemos comunicarse ma's simple en castellano. En el ejemplo, estoy usando switch para incluyar opciones por texta alternativa y títulos. Claro, en la gran mayoria de casos, los títulos son solo "nombre de especie" o "nombre de autor" porque no necesitamos explicar rasgos de anatomia, etc. En casos raros, puedes usar este forma: [[File:Example.png|40px|alt={{#switch:{{int:lang}}|en=English text|fr=French|vec=Venetian|#default=None of the above}}|{{#switch:{{int:lang}}|en=English caption|fr=French|vec=Venetian|#default=None of the above}}]]. ?Entiendes? —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 20:40, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Showing table terms by page language[edit]

Hello, this code below showing table terms depending on "page language" and "term mediawiki lang-subpage content (if existed)", otherwise keep it untouched.

Afrikaans (af) and Macedonian (mk), and proposed changes[edit]

MediaWiki:And/cs and MediaWiki:And/de (the only two translations [1]) were created after this change, but they are not needed. I would suggest deleting them, so the default text (that contains a leading space) is used instead. See also Wikispecies talk:Localization#CS female and male. Sorry, I thought the proposed changes would solve the translation issue raised at Wikispecies talk:Localization#CS female and male for "and", but it isn't the case! The system messages MediaWiki:And/cs and MediaWiki:And/de do exist, but not the pages... So the code {{#ifexist:MediaWiki:{{{1}}}/{{PAGELANGUAGE}}|{{MediaWiki:{{{1}}}/{{PAGELANGUAGE}}}}|{{int:{{{1}}}}}}} works as it was designed, see for example Wikispecies:Localization/de: the translation of "and" isn't displayed because the page MediaWiki:And/de does not "exist". But this is confusing, since MediaWiki:And/de is not a red link, and the system message does exist. (For that particular case, perhaps the function should have the same behavior as for files that have been uploaded to Commons but not locally; from mw:Help:Extension:ParserFunctions##ifexist: {{#ifexist: Media:Example.png | exists | doesn't exist }} → exists.)
To solve this, I see two solutions:
The first one is simpler, but it may worsen page load time. The following code could work (I've not tested it):

Thank you both! There is indeed a leading space in MediaWiki:And and most of its translations (see for example mw:MediaWiki:And/sv, translatewiki.net), but there is none is some East Asian languages (see phab:T132307).

It may seem strange to have to create MediaWiki pages that already have default content, but it seems to be the only solution that works for the code added here (see my comment above; perhaps a Phabricator ticket should be opened).
The code I suggested adding does not work as expected, so please remove it (sorry for the extra work!). The code at the end should simply be: {{#ifexist:MediaWiki:{{{1}}}/{{PAGELANGUAGE}}|{{MediaWiki:{{{1}}}/{{PAGELANGUAGE}}}}|{{{1}}}}}

┌────────────┘ I've created the missing MediaWiki:And… translations for Afrikaans, Arabic etc. per @Korg's request above, as well as switched the order for the Czech and Welsh languages in Wikispecies:Localization/row. I've also changed the {{#ifexist:MediaWiki:{{{1}}} …etc code snippet that was earlier edited by @Justin (again, as suggested by Korg). Good team work, y'all.
