New template needs to be translated[edit]

Hello fellow Translation administrators 1234qwer1234qwer4AlvaroMolinaAmeisenigelChrumpsCreativeCDannyS712KaganerKoavfOmda4wadySamuele2002 Stïngerיונה בנדלאק!

We have a new template called Template:Localizationheader that is in need of translation. It's not a very large one, so please help out if you can! :-)
When fully translated it will be used on Wikispecies talk:Localization, but not until then. Kind regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk) 17:41, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Can you mark it for translation? —Justin (koavf)TCM 17:42, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is marked for translation now. --Ameisenigel (talk) 17:50, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
 Done in Hebrew. - yona b (talk) 07:50, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thumbs up Great! It's now also fully translated into German (by Ameisenigel), Russian (Kaganer), Spanish (Koavf) and Swedish (me), and partly translated into French (by CreativeC). Thank you all for your contributions! –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 14:54, 24 May 2022 (UTC).[reply]

French translation – urgent request[edit]

Hello all. In my opinion finalizing the translation of Section des références i.e. the French version of Help:Reference section is of great importance. We frequently have issues with French-speaking editors who add very badly formatted references and book citations to the site. The vast majority of those edits are made in good faith and with nothing but good intentions, however being able to present the editors with a Reference section guideline in their native tongue would be very helpful. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 13:49, 6 June 2022 (UTC).[reply]

Have you looked at Category:User fr-N, mon frere? —Justin (koavf)TCM 23:29, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Justin. Yes, I did that last night but unfortunately it isn't a very uplifting study. The vast majority of the 131 listed users has only made one edit (when creating their user page) and most of them haven't contributed for many years. Looking back the past five years only 3 of them made one or more edits to Wikispecies in 2018 (2019: 2 users, 2020: 3 users, 2021: 8 users). It looks a bit better for 2022 but there's still only 11 users that has made any edits this year, namely Christian FerrerCulexEcureuil 1FredDHioufKorgMeneerke bloemOmondiPathoschildTrepas and TTjeri.

Ok, I will took a look little by little, it took me likely a few days. Christian Ferrer (talk) 19:28, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 19:37, 8 June 2022 (UTC).[reply]
Christian Ferrer will probably be the right person, otherwise let me know if I can help (rather during july, I'm having a very busy month). Cheers, FredD (talk) 21:17, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I can take a look at it as well. I'm a French librarian and admin on WP:FR with a fair knowledge of WikiSpecies. Culex (talk) 21:49, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, ok, I'll check it; I probably can do some tranlation to help. Trepas (talk) 00:16, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A French translation of Wikispecies:Bureaucrates (i.e. the French version of Wikispecies:Bureaucrats) would also be nice. It's an important but very short page (only 10 sentences!) however currently only the paragraph headings are translated. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 18:05, 15 June 2022 (UTC).[reply]

Help:Reference section is now translated in french, I will take a look to Wikispecies:Bureaucrats/fr next week or soon. Christian Ferrer (talk) 04:36, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
All done! Thanks to Christian Ferrer and all others who contributed. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk),11:20, 20 June 2022 (UTC).[reply]
