Discussion
[edit]I believe there's a risk that users on Wikispecies starts to get annoyed when I perform the clean up, seeing all the edits in the recent changes. I think its better I do that work in Botstatus, so the edits only gets listed if users visiting recent changes check Show bots. Dan Koehl (talk) 05:56, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Just curious you going to run this from your main account or set up a bot account? Considering the number of edits. Cheers Faendalimas talk 13:40, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- From a a bot account. I have set up a Bot account, KoehlBot, which is the one I apply for above. Presently, Id just like to continue with what I have been doing the last weeks, cleaning up, but I think it would be less frustrating for the community, if the edits didn't show up in the recent changes. They would still be possible to check for anyone, by Show bots. Dan Koehl (talk) 13:56, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- After seven days no objections, but also no approval, why I ask for approval of 100 edits in trial period? Dan Koehl (talk) 01:49, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Seems fine to me. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 09:32, 13 April 2015 (UTC).
- KoehlBot has now performed over 100 edits, and I ask kindly the community to analyze the edits, and if you observere no errors, finlly give the Bot your approval, so it can be upgraded to approved bot. Dan Koehl (talk) 02:37, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Bot seems to be fine, approved by me. Faendalimas talk 12:30, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- I checked a few pages following the bot-pass and all seems to be OK. Mariusm (talk) 14:36, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- What does the cryptic message maxlag=5 mean? Does it mean opening 5 windows at once or 5 edits per minute? OhanaUnitedTalk page 14:48, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Dear retired @OhanaUnited:, 1. please clearify what you refer to, if possible with links and diffs. 2. Does this mean that you object approval of the bot? Dan Koehl (talk) 21:49, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- OhanaUnited, now I noticed what you were referring to, I simply copied some lines from MonoBot application, and forgot to change some lines, this is now corrected, why the only possibility for you to get an answer forthat specific question, is here, since it has no relevance for this Bot. Dan Koehl (talk) 22:01, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Just like to add my approval here as well. Andyboorman (talk) 17:43, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Dan Koehl: Ok, that's fine. OhanaUnitedTalk page 02:06, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

I interpret that the Bot is now fully approved. Dan Koehl (talk) 13:30, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
I kindly once more ask the Wikispecies community to give this Bot Botstatus, and approve the Bot on the above stated motivation, and that it be given both 'bot' and 'sysop' rights. Dan Koehl (talk) 18:42, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
Approved. I have seen this bot and looked at some of its edits earlier. I approve of the bot and that its account be given sysop rights. Faendalimas talk 05:05, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
Approved. Mariusm (talk) 05:55, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
Approved. The bot runs as advertised. Tommy Kronkvist (talk) 09:26, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
Approved. Looks like it does what it says on the tin although I'd request a clearer statement of what is meant by "unwishes categories".Geni (talk) 15:32, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Geni:, the categories referred to where made my User:Stho002, and most of them have name structure like [[category:sometaxonname (New Zealand)]] Dan Koehl (talk) 11:09, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
Approved. Must be fully approved IMO. Andyboorman (talk) 17:41, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
