How can I import a Taxonavigation to Wikipedia article?[edit]

I am from Tamil Wiki (ta.wikipedia). I want to import Taxonavigation to our wiki article. Instead of being copy and past,l ike here Is it possible import data from here there? I want 100 Taxonavigation data to relavant Tamil wiki articles. --Info-farmer (talk) 17:20, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Info-farmer: As far as I know there is no simple way to import data between Wikipedia and its sister wikis such as Wikispecies, Wiktionary, etc. The two exceptions are Wikidata and Commons, from which any of the Wikimedia wikis can access data. The trouble here is that Wikispecies taxonavigations are made up by multiple parts and templates depending on which taxon they are used for. For example the taxonavigation section for Vernonieae employ the {{Vernonieae}} template, which in turn use the {{Cichorioideae}} template, which in turn utilise the {{Cichorioideae}} template, etc. Many of those combinations of templates are unique, and it is the specific combinations that build up the taxonavigation trees for specific taxa pages here at Wikispecies. While references to the templates in theory can be exported from Wikispecies to Wikidata (and then imported from Wikidata to Tamil Wikipedia) unfortunately the specific combination of templates needed for a specific taxonavigation cannot, since the total of all included templates are never joined together in any single page. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 20:02, 12 January 2017 (UTC).[reply]
I understand the taxonavigation complexity. is it possible to move other data. for example, Vernonieae. i am mean the subsections(Name,References,..) i going to create articles of herbs of my region which are nearly 2000 species. The data of those plants here are precious. so, i am expecting your guidelines to use the data here.I created a test-list here with few species.--Info-farmer (talk) 02:55, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As I said I don't think there is any possibility to automatically transfer (and save) data between different Wikimedia sister projects, with the exceptions of Wikidata and Commons. In order to get data from Wikispecies to another wiki the data must first be exported from Wikispecies to Wikidata, and then imported from there. However there might be a way around this that I am not aware of: I have alerted the other Wikispecies' admins and perhaps someone has a solution to your problem. If they do, you will be notified here. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk)‚ 05:09, 13 January 2017 (UTC).[reply]
You can import it from Wikidata. The taxobox (taxon infobox) on the Czech Wikipedia does this, I believe. See also d:Template:Taxobox Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:11, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There's a problem...[edit]

The user by the name of DaveTheBarbarian2 have vandalized Homo sapiens and Homo sapiens sapiens pages by replacing the images meant for them with obscene images of human penises as shown here. Can you please block him? PerxerDan98 (talk) 17:59, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The usual place to report vandalism is Wikispecies:Administrators' Noticeboard, if it helps. (I've also reported the user there myself just now) Monster Iestyn (talk) 18:27, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, he created the account DaveTheBarbarian2 himself (also ~ 20 others). I locked them globally now. Regards --Schniggendiller (talk) 04:53, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
