Name[edit]
Gender: [Disputed: Syntormon was originally treated as masculine by Loew, but has the Greek neuter ending "-on"; Grichanov (2013) argues for treating the name as masculine, but Drake (2020) argues against this, instead treating it as neuter]
Type species: Rhaphium metathesis Loew, 1857, by subsequent designation by Coquillett (1910): 611.
