Phylloicus cordatus Prather, 2003

Type locality: Venezuela, Amazonas, Cerro de la Neblina, Camp IV, 00º58'00"N, 65º57'00"W, 760 m.

Holotype: NMNH. male. 15-18.III.1984. Flint.

Etymology: Cordatus, from the Latin, meaning "hearth-shaped", refers to the heart shape apparent when the folded wings are viewed dorsally.
