Holotype: MPEG, ♂, 30.V.2008 a 03.VI.2008; Col: Hermes F. de Medeiros.
Type locality: Caquajó river, Portel, Pará, Brazil (1º57' 36.76"S, 51º38'16.00"W).
Etymology: The species name refers to its type locality, the National Forest of Caxiuanã.
