  • Holotype: SMNS, ♂, 20.XI.1996, leg. W. Schawaller.
  • Type locality: BORNEO: Sabah, Bingkor, north of Keningau [5°20’N 116°16’E], 400–500 m.
  • Etymology: The name of the new species refers to the type locality.
