Hello, and welcome to Wikispecies! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

If you have named a taxon, then it is likely that there is (or will be) a Wikispecies page about you, and other pages about your published papers. Please see our advice and guidance for taxon authors.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username (if you're logged in) and the date. Please also read the Wikispecies policy What Wikispecies is not. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or in the Village Pump. Again, welcome! OhanaUnitedTalk page 05:19, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi, can you please look into the conduct of User:Ark, as I believe it is inappropriate for an admin. He has called me "one very strange admin", and is clearly on a crusade, along with his friend User:Kuzia, who is not an admin, to have my admin status revoked. In a project as large and complex as this one, small disputes will inevitably arise from time to time, and I am more than happy to work through them, one by one, but not if the other side cannot be swayed by reason from their firmly held opinions, as I am not interested in their "give in or go home" attitude. Can you please remind User:Ark that Wiki is not a battleground for personal animosity, and plotting against another editor or admin is inappropriate conduct? Thanks ... Stho002 (talk) 22:29, 16 January 2013 (UTC) PS: At the very least, any attempt by him to campaign for a consensus should be out in the open, and not via Wikispecies (or external) email, so I have a chance to defend myself ... Stho002 (talk) 22:39, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Hmm... I see User talk:Ark#Conduct and User talk:Kuzia and it looks like you're not innocent either. You should know that I'm not a one-(wo)man-arbcom or mediation committee. I'm just a steward trying to help out cross-wiki. I know that I helped Wikiklaas, but this looks like a conflict of you two (or three maybe) and you're the only one who can solve this. Please try to be nice to people instead of posting a personal attack (yes, it was one) in which you claim Ark was "plotting an attack to take down an admin". Most people don't like that. BTW, in the future, please give me some diffs. I can't guess what's going on everywhere. One last thing, what's the diff in which Kuzia asks for a removal of your admin rights? I can't find it. Kind regards, Trijnstel (talk) 23:08, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
Most of it is happening behind the scenes, so there are no diffs. I suggest you look at Special:Contributions/Kuzia, in which he comes back after a long break and immediately starts undoing edits that I have done, without adding anything positive, and then User:Ark suddenly joins the party. As I said, I am happy to work through any particular issues (provided that the outcome isn't already decided) they may have. The project is only about 5% complete overall, and is getting away from us, so I would rather not waste time on this nonsense, and I am not pretending to be entirely blameless (in a project of this size and complexity, I am going to make the occasional mistake or bad call), but I am asking you in your capacity as a steward to please remind User:Ark that this is not the correct way to go about things, i.e., they can't just gang up and try to have me removed just because they have taken a dislike to me, as THAT would be an abuse of Ark's admin powers. And they should also refrain from calling their wikicolleagues by such adjectives as "very strange", as this can easily cause offence. Thanks ... Stho002 (talk) 23:45, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
People can't just "remove" admins because they don't like him or her. We (= the stewards) will always check if a removal request is valid before we even think about removing them. And again: you should solve this issue yourself. I can't help you with that. Feel free to point to my comments. Be nice... that helps usually a lot. Trijnstel (talk) 22:35, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
OK, but my experience on English WP would suggest that they can do just that! Policy can be reinterpreted and used as a weapon very easily ... all it takes is a smallish group working together ... Stho002 (talk) 22:44, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
No, they can't. They can only remove rights after consensus (a community poll), an arbcom decision, inactivity or per own request. Trijnstel (talk) 22:54, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi Trijnstel,

we need your opinion in this discussion: Wikispecies_talk:Administrators#Administrator_Stho002_.28talk.29. I'm quiet surprised seeing the above conspirological discussion, I'm personally asking for a much more primitivistic thing: recognition of the admin's abusement and allowance of equal rights. Kuzia (talk) 13:46, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. I don't know much, only that he makes some mistakes from time to time but I'm certain that he'll learn from them. After all, who's perfect? Trijnstel (talk) 22:23, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
No, I'm talking about his adminship. Have you seen the diffs I provided in the discussion? Have you noticed that I was blocked by him, just because I dared to say something against? This is not the behavior one expects from an admin. (I don't want to tell that his admin flag should be removed). And now imagine, what happens if I revert the edits he made last week on Asellota-related pages in vengeance to my person: those violating the formatting standards (no one has ever discussed the standards he tries to spread manually) ([1], [2] and others) and the essence ([3], [4] and others). We have a sort of tyrrany here: that's not a metaphor, just make a look at his discussion page and the "answers" I received from other admins in the discussion. Kuzia (talk) 16:45, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
And I can tell you for sure that there is no learning process: neither in his administrative practice nor in the editorial (issues related to formatting or even contents). His talk page is full of debates with no compromise from his side (ckeck his Archive as well). I'm quiet sure that at least one example of resistance (with a positive outcome) to his rudeness would already be great. Kuzia (talk) 16:53, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
