Vernacular name of Felis silvestris catus[edit]

You changed Felis silvestris catus within the Vernacular names for langaue code ak, from "Agyinamoa/ Okra" to "Agyinamoa/ )kra" which I dont argue about, but want to ask you, is really a character within this language?, Please see the diff for your edit. Within the Akan language there is a letter "Ɔ" (and subsequently also "ɔ") at least in the Fante dialect, and it looks similar to the parenthesis ")". The letter is called "open O" in English (Unicode U+0186 for upper case, and U+0254 for lower case). It is also part of the African reference alphabet. Apart from that I have rather limited knowledge upon the matter, and I do not know whether the letter is also used in the Asante and Akuapem dialects, or if "ɔkra" is the Akan vernacular name for domestic cat. But yes, I think the character as such is valid. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 12:34, 10 March 2015 (UTC).[reply]
