Type locality: Indonesia, West Java Prov., Bandung, Lembang, Pangli, Mt. Bukittinggul, sample 1, S06°48.810', E107°44.216', 1753 m.
Holotype: BZM ARC2514 (EMBL # LM655851), ♂, 03-XII-2011.
Etymology: This epithet is based on the Latin adjective vulcanicus and refers to its presence on volcanic mountains.
