Type locality: Indonesia, West Nusa Tenggara Prov., Sumbawa, Tepal, Pc. Nengas, sample 7, S08°35.176', E117°08.295', 1490 m.
Holotype: BZM ARC2340 (EMBL # LM655790), ♂, 16-IV-2010.
Etymology: This epithet is based on the Latin adjective pauxillus (small) and refers to its body size.
