- Holotype: QMB, ARC3723 (EMBL # LN888205), ♂, 15-IV-2014.
- Etymology: This species is named in honor of Jack Hasenpusch (Garradunga), who preserves the habitat of this and other Trigonopterus species on his insect farm.
