Type locality: Australia, Queensland, Cedar Bay N.P., road between Rossville and Bloomfield, S15° 47.510´ E145° 18.141´, sample 2-B, 322 m.
Holotype: QMB, ARC3762 (EMBL # LN888239), ♂, 01-V-2014.
Etymology: This epithet is an adjective based on the name of the type locality, Mt. Hartley.
