Type locality: Indonesia, W-Java, Ciamis, Pangandaran, sample 1, S07°42.836', E108°39.478', 157 m.
Holotype: BZM ARC2690 (EMBL # LM655948), ♂, 22-IV-2012.
Etymology: This epithet is based on the Latin adjective foveatus (pitted) and refers to its sculpture.
