Type locality: Australia, Queensland, Daintree N.P., Noah Beach, S16° 09´ E145° 26´, FIT N03F, 10 m.
Holotype: ANIC, ARC4047 (PCR failed), ♂, 15-III-07-V-1998.
Etymology: This epithet is an adjective based on the name of the type locality, the Daintree National Park.
