- Type locality: Indonesia, West Nusa Tenggara Prov., Lombok, Gn. Rinjani, Tetebatu, Kokok Belimbing, Rinjani-track, sample 3, S08°28.837', E116°26.553', 1245 m.
- Holotype: BZM ARC1472 (EMBL # LM655570), ♂, 02-IV-2010.
- Etymology: This epithet is a combination of the Latin adjectives aeneus (copper, bronze) and micans (shining) and refers to the metallic lustre of this species´ elytra.
