Type locality: Indonesia, East Java Prov., Kediri, Mt. Wilis, Besuki, sample 1, S07°51.785', E111°50.188', 1379 m.
Holotype: BZM ARC2482 (EMBL # LM655819), ♂, 21-XI-2011.
Etymology: This epithet is based on the Latin adjective acuminatus (pointed) and refers to the shape of the elytra.
