Type locality: China, NW. Sichuan, between Luhuo-Sanggarmai pass, W. of Luhuo, Alpine region (elev. 4200–4300m).

Holotype: ZIN, ♂, 8–28.VI.2004. coll. R. Fabbri.

  • Etymology: The specific name is referring to the strange body shape.
