  • Type locality: BORNEO: Sabah, Danum Valley, Borneo Rainforest Lodge, Flight interception trap.
  • Holotype: Collection Guillaume de Rougemont, London, ♂, 14-16.II.2007, G. de Rougemont leg.
  • Etymology: The species is called "noble" for its greater body size, suggesting superiority or nobility in comparison with the other species described in this paper.
