  • Type locality: PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Irian Jaya: Jayawijaya, Diuremna near Nalca: BREMER 2004; 139°5′E, ~4°2′S. 1900–2100 m.
  • Holotype: SMNS, ♂, 9.–11.IX.1992, leg. A. RIEDEL.
  • Etymology: Named in honour of BERNHARD KLAUSNITZER (Dresden), expert of genus Cyphon, in recognition of his continuing fruitful life-work on Scirtidae.
