- Type locality: SOUTH AFRICA, KwaZulu-Natal, Ngomi Forest, 27°51’S 31°23’E, forest litter, sifting.
- Holotype: DNMNH, 24–27.xi.2006, J. Janák leg.
- Etymology: Named after the shape of the median lobe, which is distinctly dentate (Lat. dentipenis = having a denticulous aedeagus).
