Etymology
[edit]- "The species is named in honour of Terry McCullough, in appreciation of his efforts in support of paleontology at Hat Creek. The specific epithet macculloughi is formed ("mac-" not "mc-") in accordance with recommendations of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (refer to “Appendix D: Recommendations on the formation of names; part III. Names based on personal names; Article 21a” in International Trust for Zoological Nomenclature 1985)."
