Messelepone leptogenoides Dlussky & Wedmann, 2012: 745, fig 24

Holotype: FIS MeI 4808, lateral imprint of winged gyne.
Type locality: Grube Messel, Hesse, Germany. Messel Formation, Middle Eocene, c. 47 Ma (Mertz & Renne 2005).
Etymology: Derived from the ant genus name Leptogenys.
Paratype: FIS MeI 7198, lateral imprint of male.
