  • Holotype: ESUW, ♀, 4–24.v.1986, I. D. Gauld & D. Janzen.
  • Type locality: COSTA RICA: Guanacaste, Santa Rosa Natl. Park 300m, ex. Malaise trap, Site #: SE-7-O.
  • Etymology: named after the late Canadian braconidologist, W. R. M. (Bill) Mason in recognition of his numerous and important contributions to our knowledge of the Braconidae.
