Szerzőnevek
Egy taxonról szóló cikk Név szakaszának a taxont leíró szerzőt kell tartalmaznia. Ez a megfelelő szerzőnév cikkére hivatkozzék. A Wikifajokban minimális információval rendelkező szócikkeket kezelünk. Biztosítsd, hogy van megfelelő Wikidata-elem.
Minden szerző esetén önálló kategória használandó, lehetőleg az olvashatóság érdekében külön sorokban. 3 szerző, X, Y, Z esetén a megfelelő mód ez:

Technikai okokból ne legyen a kettőspont után szóköz. Megjegyzendő, hogy e kategóriáknak csak taxonok oldalán kell szerepelniük, mindig az oldal legalján.

Az első sornak a szerző nevét (félkövéren), a születési és – halott szerző esetén – a halálozási évet (zárójelben; a hónap és nap megadható egyértelműsítéshez), majd a szerző nemzetiségét és tudományterületét (szakterületekkel, ha ismert).
A második sorban a szerző rövidítése (félkövérrel) szerepeljen, ha ismert.
A harmadik sor nagyon rövid leírást tartalmazhat az egyértelműséghez. Néha több pontosító információ is lehet, különösen más hasonló nevű szerzők esetén (például azonos témakörben dolgozó szülők/gyermekek, testvérek vagy házastársak esetén). Ezek hozzáadása segítheti az egyértelműsítést egy adott taxon leírójának keresésekor, így e további szerzőnevek lehetőleg a megfelelő Wikifajok-oldalra mutató hivatkozással rendelkezzenek. Végül hozzáadható a munkahely címe is, ha elérhető.

Nothing more, nothing less. The "Authored taxon names" section should not include an inline list of all the taxa named by an author. The reason for this is that some authors have named hundreds or in some cases even several thousands of taxa. Listing them all directly on the author pages would clutter up the information and make the pages hard to read, as well as manage. Instead the above code will automatically add a link to the category listing all of the taxon names by that particular author. Also, merging taxa pages together in author specific categories can help when searching.

In this section the publications can be added as References or as Reference Templates.

If a reference template exists, it should always be used in preference to repeating the text.
Reference Templates are much preferred if the reference contains many new taxa and is likely to be usable on a number of taxon pages.

Catalog:Taxon Authorities should contain the list of all taxon authorities referenced by Wikispecies.
Authors are added alphabetically by last name.
