• Type species: Gossypianthus rigidiflorus Hook. (= Gossypianthus lanuginosus (Poir.) Moq.)

Accepted by Hassler 2019. Considered as a synonym of Guilleminea Kunth by Govaerts 2019. Phylogenetic analysis show that they are more distantly related.
