- Type locality: AUSTRALIA: NSW, Cabbage Tree Creek [approx. 34° 53’ S, 150° 34’ W – 35° 48’ S, 150° 09’ W], wet schlero[phyll].
- Holotype: ANIC, ♀, Berlesate No. 23, 17.V.1967, [leg.] E.B. Britton
- Etymology: The name of the species is derived from the “Cabbage” part of the toponym, its typical locality.
