Holotype: RMNH, ♀.
Type locality: “Portugal: Azores, Ponta Delgada, reared in lab., summer 2010, L. Oliviera, RMNH’ 11”, “ex Ceratitis capitata (Wied.)”.
Etymology: From the generic name of its host (Ceratites) and “voro” (Latin for “devour”), because it is devouring this host.
