Holotype: RMNH 17301, adult indet., skin, dentary and fragmentary rostral region of the skull.
Type locality: “"Oost-top, Berg Rara, op 1,600 m", Cyclops Mountains[→wp], Dutch New Guinea [=Prov. of Papua (=Irian Jaya)],” Indonesia.
Eponymy: David Attenborough[→wp] [Flannery & Groves, 1998: 387]
