- Holotype: MNRJ 67022, adule ♀, skin, skull, mandible, partial skeleton and ethanol-preserved liver tissue, collected by C.R. Bonvicino and J.F. Villela on 29 October 1999.
- Type locality: “Fazenda Sertão do Formoso (14°37′888′′S and 45°51′293′′W), Jaborandi, state of Bahia”, Brazil.
