- Holotype: MZFC 16012, adult ♂, skin, extracted skull, extracted postcranial skeleton (including the left wing and leg), and tissue samples.
- Type locality: “México, Guerrero, Mpio. Cuautepec [= Municipio de Cuautepec], Coacoyulichán” (16°47ʹ40″N, 98°55ʹ60″W), 418 m above sea level.
