Welcome to Wikispecies![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikispecies! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

If you have named a taxon, then it is likely that there is (or will be) a Wikispecies page about you, and other pages about your published papers. Please see our advice and guidance for taxon authors.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at the Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username (if you're logged in) and the date. Please also read the Wikispecies policy What Wikispecies is not. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or in the Village Pump. Again, welcome! -- Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:49, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why have you reverted my edition at Turdidae?[edit]

Please explain why have you reverted my edition at Turdidae--Hector Bottai (talk) 14:36, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't me, I added Belarusian name only. --Artificial123 (talk) 14:40, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Hector Bottai: As far as I can see the only reversions to that page are this one and this one. Both are cases where Hector Bottai reverted his own edits. The full page history can be seen here. Best regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 16:13, 7 January 2018 (UTC).[reply]
But I'm not Hector Bottai (talkcontribsblock logall projects) . --Artificial123 (talk) 16:19, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Artificial123:, @Tommy Kronkvist: I apologyze for the confusion. I don´t understand what happened with my own reversion and I missunderstood who caused that. Again my apologies.--Hector Bottai (talk) 16:56, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

───────────────────────── @Artificial123: No, of course you're not the same user as Hector Bottai, and nobody "accuses" you for that. That's why I added a "ping" to his username: both to send a note to him that I had answered his message, and to avoid confusion as to whom of you two I was addressing. :-)

@Hector Bottai: My guess is that it was a simple and rather harmless user error? I too have inadvertently clicked the "rollback" or "undo" link in the page history a few times, when I really wanted to click the "thanks" link or compare two edits... Rather embarrassing of course, but it is easily done as a sort of "honest mistake". Luckily it is also easy to fix, and in this case you corrected the error yourself. So all in all: no real harm done as far as I can see. And to you both: happy future editing! Regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 21:43, 7 January 2018 (UTC).[reply]
