• Holotype: IZUA-POR 141 (schizotypes: MHNG 61492, MNRJ 8900 and RBINSc-IG 32232-POR 8900), collected by E. Hajdu, Ph. Willenz and G. Lôbo-Hajdu on 6 March 2005.
• Type locality: “south of Melinka (43°53’56.70”S–73°45’16.70”W, Ascension Island, Guaitecas Archipelago, Chilean Patagonia), 10–16 m depth”.
