Synonyms

[edit]
  • Solenomyacea Dall, 1889: 457, 460 [original spelling, as suborder]
  • Solemyioda — Newell, 1965: 7, 17 [emmended as order]
  • Solemyida — Scarlato & Starobogatov, 1979 [emmended spelling]

Nomenclatural note: The ordinal endings -ida and -oida have both been extensively employed in bivalve literature. WoRMS follow the suggested standardisation to -ida as used in the bivalve classifications by Scarlato & Starobogatov (1979), Bieler et al. (2010, 2014) and Carter et al. (2011), among others.
