• Type locality: Wistari Reef, Capricorn Group, southern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia.
• Holotype: A.J.K. Millar; 15 Nov. 1983; on the rubble flat at the base of the NW wall of the reef, 24 m depth; MELU; GRR-15639.
