Holotype: RMNH, immature indet., mounted skin with skull extracted.

Type locality: “Japon [=Japan]”, restricted to “Kuchino-Erabu, North Riu Kiu Chain [=Ryukyu Islands]” Japan by Kuroda (1933: 313).
