- Holotype: AM M.21842, adult ♀, body in alcohol with skull removed, collected by I. Kaujare, T. Leary and Tim Flannery on 17 May 1990.
- Type locality: “at 1,230 m altitude, southern slopes of Mount Makarakomburu (9°44'S 160°01'E)”, Guadalcanal Island, Solomon Islands.
