The name of this taxon appears to be invalid under the relevant nomenclatural code, as it is a redundant synonym of Ereynetinae.

  • The Pseudotydeinae was erected to receive a genus 'somewhat atypical of the Tydeidae' and assigned to the Tydeidae (Baker & Delfinado, 1974).
  • The subfamily was transferred to Ereynetidae and synonymized by André & Fain (2000: 437).
