- Syntypes: AMNH 3948 (syntype), shell fragments, (Cope, 1884); USNM 4092, 4093, 5838 (Cope, 1884); AMNH 6018 (“temporary replacement type”, see Vitek and Joyce, 2015:208), nearly complete shell (Hay, 1908).
