- Syntypes (n=2): ZSI 8459 (formerly IMC 8459), collected by J. Wood-Mason in 1872 [Andaman] and ZSI 12547 (formerly IMC 12547), collected by F.A. de Roepstorff [Nicobar].
- Type locality: “Andamans” and “Nicobars”.
