Holotype: MNRJ 3597, adult ♂, skin and skull.

Type locality: “S. Simão, rio Juruena, norte de Mato Grosso,” Brazil.

Holotype: MB-UCV I-1627, adult ♂, body in alcohol with skull removed.

Type locality: “Represa de Guri, Lower Caroni River, Bolivar State, Venezuela, 180 m.”
