Mucidosphaerium palustre C.Bock, Pröschold, & Krienitz, 2011

• Type locality: Klimpsmoorsheide Lunestedt, Lower Saxony, Germany (53º26'20.03" N, 8º46'47.58").
• Holotype: fish pond. Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa, Oban, Scotland, cryopreserved material of strain CCAP 222/96.
• Isotype: B40 0040722 (air-dried and formaldehyde-fixed sample of strain CCAP 222/96), Botanical Museum at Berlin-Dahlem.
