Type locality: Block Canyon, New England (USA), upper continental slope. 39°58′24″N 70°40′18″W / 39.973333°N 70.671667°W. Depth 300 m.
Neotype: LACM-AHF Poly 12561, designated by Bonaldo, Steiner & Amaral (2022: 4, 8–9).
Paratype: LACM-AHF Poly 692.
