Type locality: Pelagic, at a water depth between 0 and 1500 metres (catch made with open net), Station 49 B (29º8'N, 25º16'W) of the North Atlantic Deep Sea Expedition 1910 with S/S "Michael Sars", Atlantic Ocean.
