Gigantocypris agassizii G. W. Müller, 1895

• Type locality: Pelagic, at a water depth between 100 and 1700 fathoms (about 200 to 3100 metres), near to the western coast of Central America. (0º36'N, 82º45'W; 0º54'N, 91º9'W; 2º34'N, 92º6'W; 26º48'N, 110º45'W; 27º3'N, 111º0'W), NE Pacific Ocean.
