Name

Dictyota masonii Setchell & N.L.Gardner, 1930

• Type locality: Isla Claríon, Islas Revillagigedo, México.
• Type: H.L. Mason No. 22; June; "Cast ashore.". CAS 173614. According to De Clerck (2003), the type locality is Isla Clarion, Baja California, Mexico and the holotype is located in UC (173614). He notes that this is a poorly known species and is only known from the type material.
