Type locality: Ecuador, Pichincha- Septimo Paraiso Reserve, uvl, primary forest camp, 00º01.235'S, 078ºW, 087º64.600'W, 1300 m.

Holotype: MHNG. male. GS 20453. 10.V.2002. B. Landry & L. Roque leg.

Etymology

The name refers to small size of this species; parvus - small.
