Valid purpose?[edit]

To @Koavf: who created the category, and others. Does any one really find this category all that useful? Quite a lot of authors doesn't even have an official author abbreviation in the first place, particularly within the field of zoology. As a consequence there can of course not be any author abbreviations for them in the biographies. Please let me know if I've overlooked any valid reason for keeping the category, but otherwise my opinion is it should be emptied, and then deleted. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 23:35, 20 May 2017 (UTC).[reply]

@Tommy Kronkvist: I created it simply because it was a redlink generated by a template made by @Pigsonthewing:. Andy, do you have strong feelings on this? —Justin (koavf)TCM 02:27, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it completes the set created by {{Biography}}. It requires no maintenance; and can't be emptied manually. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 08:31, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
